tiwšɛmawtxʷ Students win big at SkillsCanada Regionals

On February 23, 2024 several of our students participated in the annual Skills Canada regional technology and trades competition held at North Island College in Campbell River. Our students scored 3 medals including a silver in Carpentry and a bronze and gold in Automotive. Congratulations to all the students who participated. In this special talk, guest speaker, Dr. Sean Carleton, settler scholar of History and Indigenous Studies at the University of Manitoba, examines the origins of settler colonial rule in British Columbia. Visit our qʷeqʷayʔawt̓xʷ! The qʷeqʷayʔawt̓xʷ on the tiwšɛmawtxʷ campus welcomes all campus community members. It is a place where one comes to talk and home-away-from-home for First Nations, Status, Non-Status, Metis, and Inuit students where an Elder in Residence is available to assist with matters that arise at each stage of the student experience.
