Well, I'm pretty excited, because this week I accepted a position at my work (the Justice Institute of BC) as Web Editor. So I'll be working on the website ...I think I'll get to use PhotoShop to help design some of the elements of our site! It was funny, the posting actually asked for a degree and a Tech Writing certificate, so thanks to this program, it all worked out nicely! I'm really, really grateful for all the experience and everything I've learned over this past year. It's been a terrific program! ... Krista Lambert, 2010 Technical Communication Grad
Almost every product on the market today comes with documentation produced by technical writers. Organizational processes, project status reports, technical articles, new product proposals, presentations, internet support sites--all flow from the efforts of technical writers. For that reason and more, technical communication is carving a niche for itself as a high-demand career.
These courses, part of our Technical Communication online certificate program (non-credit) examine different aspects of Technical Communication with a view towards developing the student's expertise in a wide variety of skill areas within this career path. Students have two years to complete 5 core courses and 3 electives.
